Urbandale Parks and Recreation is dedicated to helping residents and neighbors stay fit, active, and healthy so everyone can enjoy the rich quality of life our community has to offer.
We offer adult & youth classes, a public indoor swimming pool, and a Senior Center with activities and FUN for the whole family!
2016 Fall Guide
Fall 2016 Program Guide registration began on Tuesday, August 9th.
The pool is closed Saturday October 1 for the High School Band Invitational!
Strata, a new permanent public art installation honoring Urbandale’s Centennial will be dedicated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 15 in front of the Urbandale Public Library. The dedication ceremony, including comments from Urbandale Mayor Bob Andeweg and artist Dan Perry, will be followed by games, face painting, music and a free light lunch for the first 200 attendees.
Pick Your Pumpkin Night
October 19, 7:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. 40 pumpkins will be placed into the pool, swim around and find the pumpkin that you want to take home and decorate!
Men’s Basketball Leagues
Want to play some hoops this winter? Then this is the league for you and your friends. Maximum of 30 teams - so sign up early! 12-week program. For more information click here.
